FAQs

How much lead time do you need?

Our cookies are hand cut and baked to order. To ensure that each customer receives the highest level of personal service and to meet your deadlines, we prefer ten(10) days lead time. We recommend, however, ordering as early as possible to place your order in our production schedule. If your lead time is less than ten days, please call and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How are your decorated cookies packaged?

Our cookies are individually packaged in clear, high-quality cellophane bags, heat sealed for freshness. Individually tied ribbon is available for an additional fee.

What is the shelf life of your cookies?

Our cookies contain no preservatives.

Classic Cookies (Chocolate Chip etc.) should be enjoyed within 2-3 days of receipt.

Decorated Cookies should be enjoyed within 2-3 weeks of receipt.

What conditions are best for storing decorated sugar cookies until they are used?

We recommend you store our decorated sugar cookies flat, in a cool, dry place until you are ready to serve them. They should never be refrigerated. You can expect some deterioration if moisture touches the cookies’ surface. Also, prolonged exposure to light, high heat and/or humidity can cause degradation of the cookie’s decorative image.

May cookies be frozen?

Classic Cookies and Bars: Yes. Cookies and bars can be frozen for up to 2 months, and thawed/reheated as needed.

Decorated Cookies: No. We do not recommend freezing our decorated cookies, as condensation during thawing may damage their appearance.

How are cookies shipped?

We use Fedex to ship cookies, and recommend Ground shipping when 1 or 2 day delivery service is available from our bakery in California. Otherwise, we recommend upgrading to 2nd Day air.

What if my order is delayed by the shipper?

Though rare, delays may occur due to conditions beyond our control or that of our shipper. We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by shipping services, weather or disaster conditions, or for charges incurred for redelivery attempts due to incorrect address information.

If we are provided an incorrect address, you are responsible for any extra fees incurred for resending cookies.

What format of image do I need to send you?

High resolution JPEG format, ideally at least 300 dpi. and 3” x 3”.

While we can work with lower-resolution images, color reproduction and clarity may be compromised. We print in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black), therefore we cannot match PMS colors.
